The Island House Wedding in Charleston South Carolina

Their wedding venue, The Island House, was the perfect setting for Kailey and Ron’s wedding day. Nestled on a private island on the banks of the Stono River, it offered stunning sunsets and a breathtaking view of the river. This little piece of the Lowcountry truly captured the essence of their love story. The whole setting was SO dreamy! We were able to take gorgeous portraits with the lush greenery and stunning architecture as the backdrop, adding to the enchanting atmosphere. The combination of natural beauty and elegant design made their wedding photos truly special and memorable. Just look at how radiant their smiles are! I couldn’t get enough! Kailey and Ron’s Love Story

“We met in college and were friends for a couple of years while we did ROTC together. Ron would get drunk and tell all of my friends he was going to marry me lol. We started dating my junior year of college (Ron’s senior year) and then did long distance for a year when he graduated and was stationed in Texas. When I graduated I moved to Texas and then a year later we moved to South Carolina.

Ron proposed in Charleston with a bunch of our friends around and our families on FaceTime. It was super super sweet. Ron and I always said while we were dating “if it’s meant to be it will be” and slowly fell in love. Actually that’s a lie I fell for him very quickly but didn’t tell him that. Our love is very natural and very fun. We are always laughing. Our main thing is supporting each other no matter what in reaching our goals and growing in our relationship.”

“Laura and Garrett are absolutely amazing and everyone should feel confident in hiring them. From the moment I got engaged I had a very specific vision and vibe that I wanted for my engagement pictures. Laura actually found me and my excitement was immediate. Within a few minutes of chatting I knew I wanted her to capture this for me. We talked for so long about outfits and visions and she was so present in the process which is something I haven’t seen before in a photographer!

Laura and Garrett on the days leading up and right before made every aspect of engagement pictures more exciting than nerve wracking since my fiancé and I normally aren’t “picture people” and even sent a pin with parking directions which calmed so many nerves. The shoot was so much fun and they instantly became friends which is where I decided I need them for my wedding. We got a “sneak peak” which was 29 pictures, waaaay more than I expected, the next morning. The pictures captured every single emotion we had and are my favorite pictures of us. I feel absolutely beautiful and confident because of those pictures and think that every single person deserves to feel that way. I am confident that if you use Laura and Garrett you will be as obsessed with your results as I was with mine.”
