Hannah and Tyler’s January wedding at The Homestead Barn in Tallahassee was a total dream! The weather couldn’t have been better for a winter wedding—crisp and clear with just the right amount of sunshine. Working with these two was SO much fun! Their joy and love for each other made every moment so special and it was totally infectious. From the gorgeous barn setting to the amazing January weather, their day was a perfect mix of romance and excitement. I’m so eager to share the highlights from their Florida wedding with you below!
I LOVED Hannah and Tyler’s ceremony site! The sun was peeking through the trees, giving everything a gorgeous, glowy look. And that weeping willow where they tied the knot? It made the whole scene feel like a fairytale come to life! It was one of those moments where everything felt just right, and it was a blast to capture all that romance and magic. We took some super intimate portraits before the reception as the sun was setting, and the photos turned out so precious! Their reception was just as fun, too. They had a nacho cheese fountain and everything! All the details of Hannah and Tyler’s special day came together perfectly in one big celebration of friends, family, and love. It was truly an honor to be able to photograph it!
Choosing a first look for your wedding can be such a game-changer, and Hannah and Tyler’s day was a great example of why! By having their first look earlier in the day, they were able to soak up every moment and enjoy a more relaxed timeline. This option is especially great if you’re aiming to maximize your time with guests or if you have a tight schedule between the ceremony and reception. With the sunset time and ceremony time in mind, a first look allows you to capture stunning portraits with natural light, without feeling rushed. Plus, it’s a special, private moment that perfectly sets the tone for the rest of your day!
“Laura and Garrett were an absolute joy to work with. They captured my wedding so beautifully. I have only received and sneak peak so far and I’m already obsessed.
Laura met with me a few weeks before the wedding to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted and immediately sent over a timeline for my day that catered to all the specific pictures I requested. I sent her a Pinterest board for the style of pictures that I liked. On the day of she was prompt and on time. My maid of honor had a dress malfunction that put us behind. She quickly adjusted our timeline to make sure we still had time for all the pictures i wanted. Laura and her husband were so much fun to work with. They kept our spirits high and our pre wedding nerves at ease. They even surprised us with some bonus Polaroids before they left that are absolutely beautiful.
My husband and I can’t stop talking about how much we enjoyed having them as photographers and how we will be using them for all our pictures moving forward. Us and our family and friends are obsessed with our sneak peaks and cannot wait to see the rest of our pictures. Thank you soo much for capturing our wedding exactly like we envisioned!”
