If you’re dreaming of a wedding day that’s vintage, romantic, and full of southern charm, then you need to check out The Avera-Clarke House. This Monticello wedding venue is a charming family-run bed and breakfast located outside of Tallahassee. It’s perfect for couples who want something unique, intimate, and full of character for their wedding day.

Getting Ready Inside The Avera-Clarke House

There’s so much character in a historic venue like The Avera-Clarke House. Each room has its own personality and vintage charm. Between the fun wallpaper, antique furniture, and wooden staircase, Summer and her bridesmaids had so much fun getting ready in different areas of the house. Every detail is so unique and perfectly matched Summer’s wedding aesthetic.

Bonus points: there’s a separate cabin behind the venue for the guys! Both parties had plenty of space to roam around without worrying about seeing each other before the ceremony.

Romantic Garden First Look

The garden at The Avera-Clarke House is gorgeous, especially in the spring. Summer and Caleb had a romantic first look in the garden, and it felt like they were tucked away somewhere special just for them. Summer also had a first look with her dad, which was the sweetest moment. There are so many little corners for memories to unfold naturally here!

A Wedding Day That Feels Personal

My favorite thing about Summer and Caleb’s wedding was how intentional the whole day felt. It wasn’t rushed or overly staged. It was full of sweet in-between moments with their families, wedding party, and each other. They were fully present, and I was able to capture their day authentically. It’s moments like these that make intimate weddings so special.

Meaningful Spring Ceremony

Summer and Caleb’s intimate garden wedding was stunning! It was so simple and so them. Can we talk about the colorful bridesmaid dresses and spring florals? Every detail perfectly matched their personalities, and this venue could not have been a better fit. During the ceremony, they did a sand ceremony and took communion, which was the most beautiful way to start their marriage.
