Some sessions just feel like pure joy from start to finish, and Grace and Austin’s golden hour engagement photos at Mount Pleasant Lodge in North Florida was exactly that. From the second we started, it was obvious how fun, easy, and genuinely sweet these two are together. They’re the kind of couple that laughs through the in-between moments, leans into each other without thinking, and makes the whole experience feel so so effortless.
We explored Mount Pleasant Lodge and spent time at the chapel that was still being built at the time, which was such a meaningful full-circle moment, especially knowing that when they say “I do” here in March, we’ll recreate those photos with the chapel fully finished behind them. I already know their wedding day is going to be an absolute dream, and this session was the perfect preview of all the joy, love, and excitement that’s still to come!!!

Mount Pleasant Lodge is one of those North Florida venues that immediately makes you slow down and soak it all in. It has this peaceful, romantic energy that somehow feels both timeless and relaxed at the same time. It was the perfect backdrop for Grace and Austin’s engagement photos. The soft light filtering through the trees, the open space to move around and laugh, and that chapel… oh my goodness.
At the time of their session, the chapel was still being built, which made their golden hour engagement photos feel extra meaningful. Standing there with them, imagining what it would look like finished, already picturing them saying their vows in that exact spot was so sweet. And now that the chapel is fully complete? I already know their March wedding at Mount Pleasant Lodge is going to be unreal. Romantic, emotional, Florida-spring perfection.
