Georgia Wedding Venue | Collins Place

Collins Place is an absolutely stunning wedding venue located in Cairo, Georgia! It’s about 45 minutes from Tallahassee, Florida and I HIGHLY recommend this for any bride looking for a wedding venue. It feels very timeless, elegant, and full of the prettiest details! They truly thought of everything when they built this wedding venue in Cairo. We were so grateful to be able to document Maddie and Cody’s wedding day here at Collins Place. It was a gorgeous day and the weather was SO nice. Sunny and breezy and ended with a beautiful sunset.

The First Touch | Collins Place Wedding Venue

Maddie and Cody chose to do a first touch before their ceremony and it was soooo sweet. I placed Cody at the chapel behind one of the doors and then I brought Maddie to the other side. They couldn’t see each other and they exchanged their own private vows. It was so sweet to witness and I felt like the pressure of the day just eased away once they got to talk to each other. If you aren’t wanting a first look on your wedding day, I highly suggest a first touch!

Maddie and Cody’s Love Story

“We met sophomore year of high school! We were just friends at first. The summer between junior and senior year we were both single at the time and were hanging out as friends a lot and got really close. We realized we liked each other more then friends! He asked me to be his girlfriend and we have been dating ever since. 6 years later he proposed! We have known since the beginning we wanted to be with each other for the rest of our lives but Cody didn’t want to actually propose until he was closer to graduating college! He proposed in July of 2023 and graduated December of 2023! We are so excited to finally be husband and wife!” – Maddie & Cody Russell
